Whether you’re an aspiring player, coach, or referee, our Summer Celebration of Rugby education series will provide an opportunity for those across all levels to cultivate and refine their existing skillsets. Prominent figures in the rugby community will lead our courses, providing all participants with a springboard to elevate their abilities.
Elevate your coaching game this spring and summer at Fletcher’s Fields!
We will be offering two World Rugby Level 1 Coaching certification courses and eight professional development clinics for coaches, focused on age / skill-appropriate technical, tactical and leadership learning opportunities. Clinics will provide a collaborative learning environment for both seasoned and novice rugby coaches across all levels, who will work with our instructors, coach educators and professional coaches to learn about the latest advancements in technical expertise, educational methodologies, and support training.
Our professional development series spans multiple days, each tailored to coaches at different levels, offering two distinct pathways: Community and Performance. Throughout the series, coaches will engage in various sessions, including overlapping sessions, to encourage cross-learning, networking, and collaboration among coaches. The event will take place at Fletcher's Fields, providing a vibrant and conducive environment for learning and socializing.

Each themed day is designed to inspire coaches, spark creativity, and provide practical tools and strategies to enhance their coaching repertoire. Whether coaches opt for the Community or Performance pathway, they are guaranteed an enriching and empowering professional development experience.

The goal of our professional development clinics is to not only empower match officials to enhance their skills but also to provide leadership, decision-making abilities, and knowledge and understanding of the laws of the game.

Calling all club staff and volunteers!
Our Club Administrators Workshop will provide an opportunity for club members looking to expand their roles to engage, collaborate and access practical guidance, resources, and support for effective club management and operations.
Participants will have the opportunity to enhance their administrative skills, leadership abilities, and organizational capacity to ensure the long-term sustainability and success of their rugby clubs. The workshop will engage in topics such as financial management, membership recruitment and retention, facility maintenance, event planning, marketing and promotion, risk management, and governance best practices tailored to the specific needs and challenges of rugby clubs.
The workshop will be held at Fletcher’s Fields on Friday, August 9 from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Space is limited. Curriculum, instructors, educators, and special guests to be confirmed by March 15.
Ready to drive continuous improvement and ensure rugby remains vibrant?
Our Rugby Development Workshop will enhance knowledge, foster community, and improve standards across all levels within the Ontario rugby community. Coaches, match officials, and sport leaders will team up with experts and rugby professionals to share best practices, refine knowledge, and explore innovations in coaching, officiating, and sport and athlete leadership.
By participating in a variety of seminars and networking sessions, participants will have the opportunity to elevate their expertise, promote collaboration and support further professional learning that enhances the enjoyment, engagement, welfare and the long-term development pathways for our players.
